The 3M M*Modal Fluency Direct software is a benefit
to medical staff for private office or in-home computers. It is available only
to medical staff who are also using Front End Speech Recognition, rather than
telephone dictation, for their hospital reports. A 3M M*Modal ID is required
to use the software and your voice profile will continue to be stored in the
3M M*Modal environment. Recommended microphone options are: ·
Mobile Microphone App (available in the Google and Apple stores (see
link) ·
Purchase a vendor recommended microphone for personal use Other devices are not recommended, as they may
lessen the quality of voice recognition / noise reduction. IMPORTANT: Please read the installation
instructions before downloading the software as specific steps must be
followed to ensure functionality. DISCLAIMER: Lower Mainland Health Information
Management (LM HIM) and health organization information technology personnel
are not responsible for supporting providers in installing or using the
Fluency Direct software on their personal/office computers for private work.
